ROTA Nanny – Coral Gables Location: Coral Gables, FL Schedule: 7 days on/ 7 days off. Flexibility for up to 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off whilst traveling is required.
This position is open to local, South Florida candidates. Start date: Interview and trial immediately, start early January. Flexibility for an earlier start date (mid-late December) is available.
A loving family of two adults, one baby boy (7 months old), and a large dog is seeking a professional nanny to join their household. The mother is hands-on and they are looking for someone who can work collaboratively to help keep everything baby-related organized and help support the household to run smoothly. Responsibilities:
Provide overnight support for one to two nighttime feedings for the next 6 months or so, transitioning to a full-time daytime role once the baby sleeps through the night.
Assist in all aspects of childcare, with a focus on toddler development.
Keep all baby-related items organized, including:
Packing and organizing the diaper bag.
Preparing and organizing nursing equipment.
Organizing and preparing for the baby’s introduction to solids (baby-led weaning) – to include meal planning, meal prep and grocery orders.
Packing baby and mom’s belongings when leaving the house or traveling.
Inventory management and organization – baby closets, baby items etc
Child laundry, keeping nursey and play areas tidy and organized, toy rotation etc.
Assist with travel preparations for baby and parents (domestic and international, about one week per month).
Maintain a nurturing, educational environment for the baby with a focus on early childhood development, including suggesting original ideas and activities (in and out of the home), as well as collaborating with Mom.
Manage and maintain a safe and clean environment for the baby.
Requirements:
Experience with infant care and toddler development.
Must be comfortable and have experience working collaboratively with hands on parents; knowing when to step in and step out, and deviate to other child-related tasks when parents are with child
Teaching experience or a background in early childhood education is highly preferred.
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Must be tech savvy – use of Huckleberry and Solid Starts app to track babies progress and assist with caregiver communication
Willingness to travel with the family approximately one week per month, both domestically and internationally, with one to two, 3 week trips per year internationally.
Must be active and “hands on” with child activities, and an excellent swimmer (family has a pool at the home)
Spanish speaking a bonus
Must be a US Citizen with current passport
There is currently no driving required in the role, but candidate must have own reliable transport and ability to run child related errands. Driving the child may be required in the future.
Compensation:
$110 - $130k + BOE – please submit salary requirements.
$400 monthly health stipend
Holidays are worked and will rotate yearly between the Nannies
