Position: Butler / Houseman
Location: Palm Beach (November–April) & Southampton (July–Labor Day; housing provided)
Start: As soon as possible

Schedule:

• When Principals are in residence: Thursday–Monday, flexible hours

• When out of residence: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

A distinguished private household is seeking a highly professional and detail-oriented Butler/Houseman to join their team. This full-time position involves seasonal travel and requires discretion, excellent service standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with household staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formal and informal meal service (plated and French style)

• Maintain pantry and service ware to high standards

• Run errands and assist with provisioning

• Inventory management

• Plant and flower care

• Assist interior staff and house manager with various projects

• Silver care

• Perform “Daily Graces” and turndown service (especially for the master suite)

• Assist with kitchen cleanup and chef support

• Answer phones and relay messages professionally

• Pet care for one King Charles Spaniel: feeding, walking, grooming, vet visits

Requirements:

• Two or more years of experience in a formal private home

• Professional, polished, excellent communication skills

• Team player with a calm demeanor and strong attention to detail

• Able to follow household protocols and checklists

• Willing to travel, pass background checks and drug testing, and sign a non-disclosure agreement

• Legally authorized to work in the United States with a clean driving record
