Domestic Couple (Property Management & Housekeeping)
Full-Time | 44 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility for weekends as needed (maintenance issues/events)

A private estate in Santa Barbara is seeking a professional Domestic Couple to manage the full spectrum of property management and housekeeping duties for a large compound. This hands-on role requires a couple with complementary skill sets—one partner specializing in facilities, grounds, and operational maintenance, and the other in high-level housekeeping and household care. The ideal team will be proactive, discreet, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering the highest standards of service while working collaboratively with the Ranch Manager and other staff.
Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of property buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of all structures and systems to ensure proper operation.
Oversee well water systems, pumps, and Wi-Fi network resets as needed.
Maintain vehicles, tools, and machinery; perform light vehicle maintenance.
Supervise subcontractors, service providers, and vendors for repairs, landscaping, and special projects.
Review and approve vendor invoices; maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
Create and manage tracking logs, bid forms, and Excel spreadsheets for property operations.
Respond promptly to after-hours emergencies when needed.
Perform daily and deep cleaning of the main residence and additional buildings.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of all rooms, closets, storage spaces, and household systems.
Launder, iron, steam, and care for garments, linens, and specialty fabrics.
Maintain and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, and décor.
Stock household supplies and manage inventory.
Proven experience as a Domestic Couple or in similar private estate/property roles.
Maintenance partner: background in property/facilities management, construction, engineering, or related field.
Housekeeping partner: experience in high-end housekeeping with knowledge of fine furnishings and fabrics.
Ability to work independently and as a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
Flexibility to handle special requests, events, and occasional weekend duties.
Clean driving records; background checks required for both partners.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Vendor management and oversight experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (maintenance partner).
Knowledge of proper care for luxury home materials and finishes (housekeeping partner).
