Family Assistant / House Manager in Hilton Head, SC
The Family Assistant / House Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth daily operations of the household while providing high-level personal and administrative support to the family. This role combines household management, scheduling, organizational responsibilities, and hands-on assistance to ensure the family’s personal and professional lives run seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Household Management
· Supervise and coordinate household operations, including maintenance, repairs, vendors, and service providers.
· Manage household staff (cleaners, nannies, landscapers, etc.) and create work schedules as needed.
· Oversee household budgets, track expenses, and handle bill payments.
· Maintain household supplies, groceries, and inventory.
· Manage subscriptions, memberships, and renewals.
Family & Personal Support
· Maintain and coordinate family and individual calendars, including school events, personal appointments, and activities.
· Arrange and manage travel logistics (flights, hotels, ground transportation, itineraries) and handle last-minute changes or issues.
· Provide or arrange transportation as needed.
· Run personal errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, online returns/exchanges, and other ad-hoc requests.
· Assist with planning and execution of family events, holidays, dinners, and entertaining guests.
· Manage personal projects and special requests for family members.
· Set reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, and other important events.
Administrative Duties
· Handle confidential correspondence, emails, phone calls, and documents with discretion.
· Manage household files, contracts, insurance policies, and other important documents (e.g., passport renewals, licenses).
· Research and vet vendors, products, and services as needed.
· Track, organize, and reconcile personal and household expenses and receipts.

Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as required.
· Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Schedule & Compensation
· Full-time role (40 hours per week; primarily Monday–Friday, with flexibility as needed).
· Hybrid work structure: combination of working from home and in-person household management (approx. 20% travel).
