Location: Palm Beach, Florida
Overview
An elegant Palm Beach estate seeks a warm, dependable, and trustworthy individual to reside in a private garage apartment and provide a reassuring evening and weekend presence for an active and independent 82-year-old woman. While she is currently self-sufficient, this position is designed to ensure peace of mind, offer light household support, and provide assistance if needed—particularly in the evenings or on weekends when the daytime household staff is off duty.
This is not a full-time caregiving role but a lifestyle position ideal for a retired nanny, former nurse, or hospitality professional who values stability, discretion, and building a warm rapport.
Schedule
On-site presence:
• Evenings: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Full day: Saturday and Sunday (on premises and available, but not actively working unless needed)
Hours are generally light, with the expectation to be present and available during scheduled times.
Responsibilities
• Be available in the evenings and overnight to assist if needed (e.g., in case of a fall or other urgent matter)
• Prepare or assist with a light dinner and clean up afterward
• Keep kitchen and common areas tidy
• Light housekeeping tasks as needed (vacuuming common areas, maintaining neatness)
• Provide companionship, conversation, and occasional assistance with simple tasks
• Serve as a reassuring presence, maintaining awareness without intruding on privacy
• Notify family of any changes in health, safety, or household needs
