
Schedule: Monday–Friday; follows traditional school-year schedule
Hours: Approximately 3–4 hours of 1:1 instruction daily + afternoon enrichment (field trips, hands-on learning, museum-based experiences)
Travel: Possible but not guaranteed; short-term trips (3–4x/year). Past educational travel includes Paris, monuments, and historical destinations. Candidate must be comfortable using travel as real-world learning opportunities when invited

A private family in Stuart, FL is seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Private Teacher to provide individualized education for their boy/girl twins, who will be entering 5th grade in 2026. The children—turning 10 in March—have distinct learning styles; the son is analytical and quick to absorb information, while the daughter is creative and thrives with visual, hands-on methods. The educator must skillfully adapt instruction for each child, maintain an advanced academic pace, and incorporate both structured learning and experiential enrichment. The family values structure, organization, Christian faith, long-term commitment, and an active, device-free lifestyle, and they hope to find an educator who can grow with them over time. Additionally, a portion of the instructional day will be taught in Spanish to help immerse the children in the language and support fluency development.
The teacher must also follow all Florida homeschooling requirements, ensuring that the children’s educational records, portfolio, and mandatory evaluations are maintained in compliance with state regulations.
Minimum 7 years of teaching experience, ideally in primary grades
Experience working in a private home is highly desired
Bachelor’s in Education required; Master’s preferred
Spanish-speaking required (fluency preferred); trilingual candidates are a strong plus
Must be of Christian faith
Strong ability to adapt curriculum to different learning styles
Ability to design the full curriculum, present it to the parents for approval, and adjust it based on their expectations
Experience providing accredited lesson plans, assessments, and progress tracking
Ability to maintain the homeschooling portfolio and required records for submission to the school district if requested
Excellent communication with parents, including weekly reports and structured lesson calendars
Energetic, active teaching style aligned with a device-free environment
Strong but warm personality—able to maintain structure and consistency
