A private family in Miami Beach is seeking an experienced and exceptionally detail-oriented Full-Time Laundress to join their fully staffed residence. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of high-end, luxury, couture, and specialty garments, with the expertise required to care for delicate fabrics, designer pieces, and high-value wardrobes. This position requires someone who is hands-on, organized, proactive, and comfortable managing all aspects of laundry and wardrobe care independently. This role supports 2 adults and 4 children, as well as a dog and two cats. The Laundress will primarily work independently but may collaborate with housekeepers as needed, and will report directly to the House Manager. English fluency is required. Spanish as a second language is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities

• Full laundry service for the principals and children, including washing, ironing, steaming, pressing, and stain treatment

• Expert care of very high-end garments, couture pieces, delicate fabrics, gowns, and luxury designer items

• Shoe and leather cleaning and polishing

• Hand washing delicate items and handling specialty pieces with extreme care

• Minor sewing and repairs, including hems, seams, and buttons

• Packing and unpacking for principals travel

• Maintaining all wardrobes in a tidy, organized, and systematized manner

• Seasonal wardrobe rotation and organization

• Managing and preparing garments using a steam closet and standard washing equipment

• Overseeing dry cleaning: preparing items, coordinating drop-off/pick-up (vehicle provided if needed)

• Monitoring laundry-related supplies and notifying the House Manager when restocking is needed

• Collaborating with the housekeeping team as needed

Requirements & Additional Details

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Laundress in HNW/UHNW households

• Extensive knowledge of luxury, couture, and delicate garment care

• Strong English-speaking abilities (required); Spanish as a second language acceptable

• Ability to work independently

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with specialty equipment (steam closet, garment steamers, etc.)

• Ability to meet principals’ preferences regarding detergents, fragrance-free products, and garment softness

• Professional, discreet, team-oriented, and committed to the highest household standards
