
Location: Armonk, NY
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (40 hours/week; flexibility required), including weekend coverage). Child is in school from 8 AM – 3 PM with after-school activities, and the role shifts between Family Assistant duties during school hours and Nanny responsibilities when the child is home.
Compensation: $50–$60/hour (based on experience)

A private UHNW family in New York is seeking a professional, organized, and engaging Nanny/Family Assistant to support the care of their 6-year-old son while also assisting with household-related tasks. This role is split between dedicated childcare and family assistant responsibilities, requiring a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to seamlessly transition between both functions. The ideal candidate will be polished, dependable, and hands-on, with a strong ability to manage the child’s daily needs while maintaining organization within the home. Experience with one-year-olds is a plus, as there may be occasional support needed when the baby nanny is off duty. This is a live-out position with no pets in the home, and the nanny will report directly to the principals. The family values professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail, and is seeking someone who is both nurturing with children and highly organized in their household support.
Childcare (Primary Focus Outside School Hours):
Provide attentive, engaging care for a 6-year-old child
School pick-up and drop-off, as well as transportation to and from after-school activities
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities
Prepare light meals and snacks for the child
Manage child’s laundry, wardrobe, and belongings
Maintain organization and cleanliness of bedroom and play areas
Assist with routines and structure during evenings and weekends
Family Assistant Duties (During School Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM):
Run errands including post office, returns, pharmacy, and grocery shopping
Assist with general household support
Organize pantry, household inventory, and children’s items/toys
Maintain organization across household systems as needed
10+ years of verifiable nanny experience in private homes (UHNW preferred), with demonstrated longevity
Highly organized, able to multitask and manage both childcare and household responsibilities efficiently
Professional, polished, and well-spoken, with a warm, engaging, and hands-on approach with children
Flexible, proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a staffed household
Experience with a one-year-old preferred; occasional coverage required when the baby nanny is off duty.
