Greenwich couple is seeking a highly experienced and professional Houseman or Butler for a full-time year round position in their estate. This is an excellent opportunity for a Houseman or Butler who is experienced in both formal and informal service, with skills that range from home maintenance, vendor management, driving, and is flexible and available to care for and anticipate the family’s needs. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment with the ultimate goal of running a seamless household and has the ability to adjust to and accommodate ever-changing circumstances all the while maintaining a calm, gracious and positive attitude. Candidate must possess the ability to work under pressure, with a “passion” for serving and total family/guest satisfaction. Candidate may be required to work outside of the duties listed below from time to time and needs to possess a “do whatever it takes attitude” and “own” their responsibilities. This person must speak excellent English, have top-notch communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be detail oriented. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Identify routine property and household maintenance items and establish daily, monthly and annual task list for execution within said timelines
Work in concert with housekeeper and laundress to ensure optimum home cleanliness and environment including but not limited to care of furniture and furnishings, polishing fine surfaces, mopping floors, general overall organization
Supplemental housekeeping in housekeeper’s absences
Handling special requests, running errands, including shopping for groceries and supplies
Manage household inventories, record keeping of budgets and receipts
Occasional light cooking/meal preparation a plus
Greeting guests and serving when needed, supervise caterers for special events
Understand and troubleshoot basic home technology-televisions, audio, alarms
Handle outdoor patio furniture and resources appropriate for current weather
Maintenance and cleaning of automobiles
Ensuring assets, art, equipment and technologies are protected and in working conditions always

Requirements
• Stable work history with impeccable references • Former experience as a Butler or Houseman • Valid driver’s license • Non-Smoker • Legal US resident
Five-day per week schedule (9-6) with flexibility, which may include occasional evenings and/or weekends with advance notice. A successful candidate will be upbeat, flexible and eager to please.
