Personal Assistant/Household Manager

Location: East Village, NYC & North Salem, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (with flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends as needed)
Compensation: $125,000+ annually, commensurate with experience
Benefits: Health insurance or stipend based on candidate needs, mileage reimbursement, 4 weeks PTO, and 5–7 sick/personal days
Travel: Regional travel between residences required; no out-of-state or international travel expected
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (primarily remote to start with regular onsite support and meet-and-greets)

A private household is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Personal Assistant / Household Manager to provide comprehensive support across two residences in East Village, NYC and North Salem, NY. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable managing both administrative responsibilities and the day-to-day operations of two private homes. This role requires someone who can confidently manage day-to-day priorities, maintain organized systems, oversee ongoing projects, coordinate household logistics, and anticipate needs before they arise. A strong sense of ownership, discretion, and flexibility is essential.

Responsibilities Include:

Personal Assistant Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, appointments, emails, and scheduling.

  • Coordinate travel, errands, shopping, and personal tasks.

  • Process invoices, track expenses, research / document organization and maintain spreadsheets.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, meetings, and special projects.

  • Anticipate needs and provide proactive day-to-day support.

Household Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of both residences.

  • Coordinate vendors, maintenance, repairs, and home service appointments.

  • Manage household inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.

  • Maintain organized household systems, records, and vendor information.

  • Ensure both homes remain organized, well-stocked, and guest-ready.

  • Provide occasional dog care and assist with household-related projects as needed.
  • Event planning and coordination
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Assistant, Household Manager, or similar role

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ongoing projects.

  • Comfortable creating and maintaining spreadsheets, tracking systems, and administrative processes.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and service providers.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.

  • Must be comfortable working between two residences and have reliable transportation.

  • Must be a dog lover and comfortable providing occasional pet care.

  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
