Position Overview

A family on the Upper West Side is seeking a full-time, experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee the care and organization of their multi-level, four-bedroom townhouse. The principal is a busy professional who works from a home office and values someone who can work independently without unnecessary interruptions. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, proactive, and experienced working in large private homes. The family has grown children who are independent and not demanding, so the household is generally quiet and structured. The home features antiques, fine art, silver, marble, and other high-end finishes, making strong laundry and housekeeping skills particularly important. The candidate should understand proper care techniques and products for different materials. A housekeeper’s manual and established vendor list are provided, with systems built over time by previous assistants and housekeepers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable following these systems while also taking initiative and developing an efficient routine for the home.
